TransAm 2016

An epic bike ride from San Francisco, CA to Durham, NC
I've always loved pushing my physical limits and doing long distance running and biking. So at the beginning of this year, I decided to go across america by bike once I was done with my Master's. So after my graduation, I set off on my cross country ride on June 5. Over the next two months, I went through some amazing parts of this vast country - the Rockies and Appalachian mountain ranges,  deserts of Nevada and Utah, and the rolling hills of Missouri and Kentucky. I saw a whole different face of the country and what struck me the most was the amazing people I met on the way. Despite everything that we see on the news and popular media, people are pretty good at heart at the end of the day, and this trip really made that apparent to me.
As I rode, I maintained a journal where I periodically wrote about my ride and any interesting events that happened. You can read the entire thing here.
Enjoy the pictures and my entries!

Looking back, there were a lot of things I realised and learnt through this trip.
